Question: Was it actually your FIRST-EVER romantic weekend, or just your first since having children?
PLEASE tell me it wasn't actually the first-ever.
Answer: I cannot recall any other romantic weekend. The only times we've traveled, our destinations were family reunions or relatives' homes.

This is totally tragic. Peter and I have spent countless nights at fun B&Bs in fun places. Total bummer for you!
When your kids grow up and move out, you and Jer will have lots of romantic weekends to catch up on.
By the time I have kids that are old enough to move out, I'll be dead. I guess it's a good thing Peter and I are doing it now.
Brent and I have never had a romantic weekend. We went on our honeymoon, and we went to Buenos Aires for a week when I was 2 months pregnant (the first time) and very sick. It was not very romantic, and it was not a weekend. Both times we were pitifully poor and had no money to spend on anything exciting. But soon, very soon I get my first romantic weekend with my husband I can't wait! We too only go on vacation to visit people. Unless we are camping.
