Zeke's Genes

Yesterday, as I was putting away some laundry, I noticed that Zeke's shirts were in the wrong order in his closet.

I figured they must have fallen off the bar and been haphazardly replaced, so I started to rearrange them.

But I suddenly stopped. Because I noticed something. They were, in fact, in order. The collared shirts were in rainbow order on the left and the uncollared shirts were in rainbow order on the right. (Except that orange was after green. But that's a minor detail.)

ZEKE HAD REORGANIZED HIS CLOSET!

SPONTANEOUSLY!

JUST BECAUSE HE FELT LIKE IT!

He really is my child, after all.

Zeke and Victor Are Different

Zeke is happy to sing with the Primary in church.
Victor pours his own cereal. Zeke waits for help.
When Victor falls down, he says "oof" and gets up and tries again. When Zeke falls down, he cries and runs to me for a kiss. Then he says "better" and runs off still crying.
Zeke learned his colors before he was 2 1/2. Victor started learning them at 3 1/2.
Victor didn't have terrible twos, but Zeke is embracing them fully.
Zeke puts EVERYTHING in his mouth. That wasn't Victor's thing.
Zeke has a high-pitched screech of protest and an angry face to go with it.
Zeke has a blankie. Victor has Dog.
Zeke is not afraid of the vaccuum.
Zeke does not gnaw on the TV stand.
Zeke loooooooooooves pears.
Zeke is not interested in climbing over the chair rungs.
Zeke likes to play with tags.
Zeke likes to razz and blow bubbles.
Victor went from rolling to crawling, but Zeke scoots on his tummy.
Victor's hair was blond. Zeke's is brown.
Victor has my chin, but Zeke has Jeremy's.
Zeke likes to chew on fabric.
Zeke is waaaaaaay more into his hands and feet than Victor was.
Zeke likes rice cereal, but Victor never did.
Zeke is not afraid of the vaccuum.
